Vector Development has announced plans for Soos Creek Business Park, a $45 million distribution and self-storage facility in the King County suburb of Covington. The business park will feature two 130,000 sq ft industrial buildings as well as a 122,000 sq ft self-storage facility with 950 units. SynThesis has been reported as the architect for the distribution center, while Site+Plan+Mix will be the architect for the three-story storage facility.
This project will be the first major industrial center for the city, focusing on distribution, warehousing, and manufacturing tenants. Vector President Tyler Litzenberger noted that the location was ideal due to its close proximity to the cities of Auburn and Sumner as well as the Port of Tacoma and nearby highways. With the continuing rise of Internet retail companies such as Amazon, distribution space is becoming a more and more attractive sector of the real estate market.
